F.A.Q.

What are your prices? All of our pups are $1200, regardless of color/gender. To reserve a pup, you will need to place a $200 nonrefundable deposit via PayPal/Zelle. The remaining $1000 is due in cash at pick up.

How does your waiting list work? We use one 'master waiting list' for all of our current and upcoming litters. This helps keep a more accurate count and helps us better estimate how long you may need to wait for a pup. It also means that the longer you wait for a pup, the higher up the list you move. You can always choose to pass on a litter and continue waiting for the next litter, in which case you'll move up the list further again.

How are puppies chosen? We do puppy choosing virtually, via email. Which pup you pick is entirely up to your family! However, we will also gladly help recommend a pup that we feel would suit your family best.

What generations does NTD breed? We breed F1 (first generation) Aussiedoodles. This generation is a cross between a purebred Poodle and a purebred Australian Shepherd. First generation has the highest "hybrid vigor" and we love both the personalities and the coats that result with the F1 generation.

What sizes/colors do you breed? We only breed standard size doodles. No minis!
Our Aussiedoodles range in size from 40-60+ lbs.

We have pups in a wide variety of colors! Our pups come in black/white parti, chocolate/white parti, red/white parti, merle parti, black/white tuxedo, chocolate/white tuxedo, solid chocolate, solid black, white, red, red merle, blue merle, chocolate merle, sable merle and other variations of these colors. At this time, we do not have tri color in our breeding program. Please see examples of colors listed at the bottom of the page.

What is a "merle"? Merle refers to a specific coat color. It is a gene that creates mottled patches over a solid or parti base coat. We have Aussiedoodle pups in blue merle, red merle and chocolate merle (a variation of red merle). Merle is a highly sought after color for the "wow" factor and these pups often get reserved first.

Will my Aussiedoodle be hypo-allergenic and non-shedding? No, we never guarantee this! F1 generation doodles have a higher chance of shedding, but most of our pups do not shed beyond the first year. F1 doodles will shed minimally and some don't shed at all. Most often, those with allergies do not have an issue with F1 doodles. However, there is no such thing as a hypo-allergenic dog. Allergies can be caused by dander, saliva, and other various things unrelated to shedding. It is best to test your allergies with a friend/family's doodle before purchasing. If you have severe allergies, we recommend finding a breeder who raises F1b or multi-generation doodles.

Do you allow the public to visit the ranch? For the health of our puppies, we DO NOT open the ranch to the public. This is to prevent the spread of diseases to our pups/dogs and to prevent any undue stress to our mommy dogs. Puppies do not have fully developed immune systems and this makes them extremely susceptible to diseases and sickness. We take the health of our puppies very seriously and it always comes first! If you have a deposit placed on a pup, we can set up a puppy visitation play date. We also allow families to come to the ranch to pick up their pup!

Do you have a health guarantee? Yes! It can be found here: http://www.northtexasdoodles.com/health-guarantee.html
